Thing I Hate Most

We had a farewell party for our dear friend Isma. Even though she is only transfer to other department, still we can't be at the same place at the same time during office hour. This is the thing I hate most. Parting. It is such a simple word, yet to powerful when we take it into action.

I have known her since I started working at where I am now. She was my Team Leader. Among the talented leaders were born. Yes... my opinion, some leaders are not supposed to be leaders. They don't have the leadership quality. Example... hmm.. better not to tell it hear. But my friends know it.

I cried when I found out my team leader has been changed to someone who for me was not capable to be a team leader. Isma has been given the responsibility to lead the Internet Banking agents. It is good for her. But bad for me. Since then, we are friends and she is my mentor, my walking dictionary in terms of operations and my second eye. In other words, she can be a friend or sister or manager whenever I need her in in every different needs. Yes! She is that. I'm not praising her to get A+ for my appraisal. As she is not filling it up for me. Ha ha ha....

The party was a surprise for her. We managed to plan the party without her knowing. We even managed to ask her what she likes. We gave her a crystal necklace. It is a collection from the people who joined the party. And for individual gift, which we share between me, Era, Emy, Rani & Gurmit, a matching bracelet. When she opened up the gift, she was wide smiling as she knew, she has chosen the design herself but not expecting it at all.

When she entered the rest area, she was mushy. She managed to shed tears as she is not expecting it. And she managed to shed my tears as well. I cannot stand people who cried! I'll cry together. That is my weakest part. Especially if baby who helplessly cry. Nevertheless, I never cry with my daughter when I scolded them. He he he...

In the end, it was not an emotional farewell at all when it comes to end of the day. She was hurrying back to her home because she needs to send her maid to clinic for FOMEMA. OMG... I dun feel like she was not coming back again. Huh! And yes.. she did come to our office this very evening to pick some things that she has left.

Besides the farewell party, there was a funny incident though. It all started when Emy & I had this conversation....
Me : Emy, have you heard the story PT told those around him?
Emy : What story?
Me : He told now he knew why his mug has some white flaky thing when he washed it. It must be the dandruff!! He thought it was the creamer which refuse to wash off.
(PT had an incident whereby one of the staff washed her comb using the pantry sponge!!!!!!! PT was so angry about it, he threw the sponge there and then. He managed to give some word of wisdom to that particular girl. Then he forced me to send the communication to the floor to stress on what is the purpose of the sponge)
Emy : LOL!!!!
And Emy was like tak jadi basuh mug tu dengan sponge!!!!
And we had another big laugh....
So while we were heading back to our place, Emy was trying to find something from her pants pocket. Then her face turned to a panic face because a camera slipped out from her pants. Yup! From top to bottom.. And it was my camera. And I start laughing. She told me her pocket has torn. Then she started fishing again inside her not so wide torn pocket. Then she took out my handphone. Again she panicked...
Emy : Kak Lila, mana cover belakang handphone Kak Lila ni?
(When u see my handphone, then you'll understand)
Me : Ala, mesti ada dalam poket Emy.
She start rumbling inside her pocket again. Then there it goes... From top to bottom again... The cover slipped down from her pants. And we start laughing like nobody business. Then I collected the cover. Then she realized something else missing.
Emy : Kak Lila, mana pulak getah yg hold cover tu?
(Yes, my handphone back cover need to be tied up with a piece of rubber band. He he he...)
I was like telling her, it's okay while laughing then suddenly she saw it on the floor and started pointing it while laughing as well. And we were laughing quite loud that we entered the working area, everyone was staring at us. And wondering why our laugh are loud. He he he... So when we retold the incident, everyone was laughing as well.
So that is my story. So once I get the pictures gathered, I'll update this entry.
